 Toledo  Ohio Harbaugh was destined for a life in football. His father Jack Harbaugh  was a respected college football coach  and his brother John Harbaugh currently coaches the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. Jim upbringing was steeped in the game  and he quickly showed his talent as a quarterback.

Jim Harbaugh  college career at the University of Michigan catapulted him into the national spotlight He played for the Wolverines from 1983 to 1986  earning All American honors and finishing third in the Heisman Trophy race in 1986 His college career laid the foundation for his future success in football.

After college  Harbaugh embarked on a successful
